The Scot has railed against a host of perceived injustices at the hands of officials consistently this season and his ire was compounded by a number of decisions he felt went against his side in the clash with the Welsh outfit, whose line-up included Millers’ promotion hero Alex Revell.

Russell Slade’s side raced into a three-goal lead inside 35 minutes to stun the Millers, who claimed a big weekend victory over Millwall on Saturday.

Goals from Bruno Manga, Federico Macheda and Conor McAleny in the space of 11 minutes put Cardiff en route to back-to-back away wins for the first time in two years, with the Millers notching a late consolation on courtesy of ex-Huddersfield Town man Danny Ward.

Evans, whose fourth-from-bottom side remain six points above third-from-bottom Millwall, with a derby game next up at Huddersfield Town this weekend, said: “Their second goal was offside, so that`s difficult to accept and then I think we are a bit unfortunate for the third goal.

“Then, when you look at a goal from Matt Derbyshire that puts us in front given offside which was onside... So we have had a raw deal in the first half.

“We don`t live in a false world where we think we are going to come back from three-nil down so at half-time we spoke to our players about character and showing a better desire and application and to go out and win the second half.

“And there was a key moment in the game on eighty-four minutes when their goalkeeper spills the ball and the referee gives a foul which, when you look at the DVD you see isn’t a foul.

‘So there were five big decisions here and I`m not here to defend my team based on decisions, but they do change the match.

“And if the officials can`t get simple decision right like that, then dear me I don`t know what to think any more.

“They are hard decisions to take but it wasn`t the reason we were all over the place for ten minutes in the first half.”
