Shrewsbury Town 2 Rotherham United 1: Marshall sees red as Millers pay penalty

Andy Scott saw his Rotherham United side slide to defeat at Shrewsbury Town today in the second round of the FA Cup.

Guy Branston, Brett Williams and Sam Wood all played after the Millers were granted permission to play their loanees but Jon Harley is out due to Notts County refusing to allow the left-back to become Cup-tied.

The Millers broke the deadlock three minutes before halftime when Lewis Grabban netted from the penalty spot.

But Rotherham would have to play the second 45 minutes with just 10 men after Marcus Marshall was sent off for picking up two bookings.

Ian Sharps equalised straight after the restart for Shrewsbury before Nicky Wroe’s late penalty put the hosts in front.
