Swindon 1 Rotherham United 2: Millers set for Preston in play-offs

Rotherham United will face Preston North End in the League One play-offs after victory at Swindon Town in their final game of the regular season.

Wes Thomas scored twice, his first effot coming after just 58 seconds as Steve Evans’s side got off to a storming start.

Ben Pringle supplied Thomas for his first goal, and the pair worked wonders again for Rotherham’s second goal, the striker putting away a far-post header.

Michael Smith cut the deficit from the penalty spot, and Jay McEveley hit the crossbar but the Millers were not to be denied.
