Video: Rotherham United get feisty ahead of Wembley showdown with Shrewsbury

PAUL WARNE says his Rotherham United players are chomping at the bit ahead of Sunday's League One play-off final against Shrewsbury Town - and said he detected a '˜feisty' edge in training ahead of their trip to Wembley.

Despite a couple of minor injury issues, the Millers chief has no major problems to contend with, with only Jamie Proctor and Darren Potter still missing.

Warne admits that he has his starting XI in his mind, ahead of the showpiece game which sees him pit his wits against ex-Millers team-mate and Shrewsbury boss Paul Hurst, with a first-team squad all desperate for starting berths.

Warne said: “I have got a couple of little (injury) tweaks. Nothing major really and they (two players) should be able to train tomorrow. I don’t think it is going to be an issue for the weekend.

“Training was a little bit feisty today (Friday). Not in a bad way, but everybody is trying to impress. It was wet and a few tackles were flying about and a couple of times I was thinking I will have to wrap them up in cotton wool.

“There is a thin line between undertraining and overtraining and we try and keep between the two. The team without any problems is in my head.”
