Marley Watkins will join Norwich City next season, after rejecting an offer to stay at Barnsley.

The 26-year-old forward will sign a three-year deal at Carrow Road on July 1.

He scored 10 goals in 45 appearances for the Reds last season but expressed an interest to join another club.

Watkins, who earned his first call-up to the Wales squad last month, played twice at Wembley for the Reds in the 2015-16 season, in the FA Trophy and League One play-off finals.

The Welshman played 75 times for Barnsley, scoring 12 goals in his two-year stint with the club.

He tweeted: “Can’t wait for the new season with @NorwichCityFC exciting project and big opportuntiy to get the club back to the Prem, where it belongs.”

Doncaster Rovers have signed full-back Danny Andrew on a two-year deal from Grimsby Town.

Andrew made 50 appearances for the Mariners in 2016-17 andwon Grimsby’s player of the year award but turned down the offer of a new contract.

Andrew has previously worked with Rovers boss, Darren Ferguson, at Peterborough.

David Moss has been appointed as head of football operations at Huddersfield Town.

He joins from Scottish champions, Celtic where he worked since 2010.

Moss is to work closely with head coach, David Wagner, chief executive, Julian Winter and chairman, Dean Hoyle to help assemble the Terriers squad ahead of their first top-flight campaign since 1971/72.

Bradford City left-back James Meredith is to join Millwall on July 1 subject to him completing a medical. Meredith played in the Bantams’ League One Play Off final defeat to Millwall on May 20.

He is to join the Lions on a two-year contract.

Meredith made 220 appearances in five seasons for Bradford after his arrival from York City in 2012.

Richie Smallwood is to leave Rotherham United at the end of his contract.

Smallwood played 112 times in all for the Millers including appearances he made during his brief loan spell in 2013-14, scoring three goals during his stay.
