Leon Clarke has been named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year - but that is as good as it gets for Yorkshire clubs.

Sheffield United striker Clarke has hit 18 goals so far this season, with the Blades still in contention to qualify for the Championship play-offs.

Clarke's prowess in front of goal has led to him being named in the Championship team - as voted for by fellow players.

Earlier this month the Yorkshire Post reported on how Clarke was outscoring his rivals at fellow White Rose clubs.

The 33-year-old's inclusion means he is the solitary Yorkshire-based player to be picked across all four divisions.

However, there is a Sheffield connection with regards to the Premier League XI with former Blade Kyle Walker selected.

Walker, who came through the Blades academy, has caught the eye since moving to Manchester City last summer and has played his part in helping to seal the title for Pep Guardiola's side.
