Aaron Ramsdale back at Sheffield United as Dean Henderson stays with Manchester United
The 22-year-old former Blades custodian – who had also been linked with Aston Villa – underwent a medical at his former club yesterday afternoon and his move back to Bramall Lane was sealed last night.
An £18.5m fee was agreed last week, but that will be substantially reduced by a sell-on clause inserted in the deal that took Ramsdale to the south coast three years ago from United for a bargain £800,000.

Hide AdUnited switched their attentions towards bringing back Ramsdale after the prospect of bringing back Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson for a third loan spell at the club became unrealistic.
The Old Trafford outfit were keen to let the former England under-21 international head back to the Blades for a third season on loan, but the financial package involved prompted Chris Wilder to look elsewhere.
Writing on social media, Henderson, a hugely popular figure during his time at S2 after helping the Blades clinch promotion, expressed his gratitude for his time at the club, while stressing that he “can’t wait for the next chapter”. He said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Sheffield United for the last two years.
“Winning promotion to the Premier League with my brothers and having the season we had this season is something I will never forget.

“I will look back at the last two years as an important chapter in my career and more than anything, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn and develop with such a class group of lads.”
Henderson is in discussions with his parent club regarding a new deal, amid reported interest from Chelsea.
The Red Devils are open to selling Sergio Romero, but Henderson reportedly only wants to return to Old Trafford to be first choice as he looks to break into the England senior squad for the rescheduled 2020 European Championships, which take place next summer.
