Adkins lays down challenge to Blades
The Blades, in eighth place in League One, have not won back-to-back league games since August and Adkins feels it is high time that changed.
The 50-year-old, promoted three times from League One, insists that belief in the Blades camp remains high, but feels that the fluctuating form of his players, both individually and collecting, has been a significant factor in their mixed opening third of the campaign.

Hide AdAdkins, whose side welcome Southend at the weekend, said: “You need consistency of performance.
“If you know every week you are going to get seven out of ten from the players and one or two throw a nine in, that’s great instead of being one week a nine and then the next, a three.
“We need to keep that belief going and it’s ultimately about winning. But if we can do all the others things to give us a chance, we’ll have a better chance of winning.”
