Blades star Murphy sold to Albion
The 25-year-old signed a four-year deal at Albion after the Blades accepted what they described as “an undisclosed bid”. Reports on the south coast suggest it is around £1.5m.
A statement from the Blades said: “The Blades have reluctantly agreed to the sale of Jamie Murphy to Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion.

Managing Director, Mal Brannigan, added: “The Club had received several offers over the past month and had rejected them all in the interests of retaining the player’s services.
“Once Jamie expressed a strong desire to talk with Brighton and made his wishes known to both the Board and the Manager, the Club reluctantly accepted Brighton’s offer for Jamie’s registration.”
Murphy scored 21 goals in 122 appearances for the Blades, after being signed by former boss Danny Wilson in 2013.
