Ex-Blade Paddy Kenny linked with Warnock reunion at Leeds

ROBERT GREEN’S impending move to Queens Park Rangers has fuelled speculation in the capital concerning a possible switch to Leeds United for Paddy Kenny.

The former Sheffield United goalkeeper is understood to be on the radar of Neil Warnock after having previously had two spells playing under the United manager.

Kenny has told friends of his interest in a return to Yorkshire but the on-going discussions over possible investment at Elland Road mean all talks over incoming transfers have had to be put on hold.

Club officials are believed to be working feverishly behind the scenes to bring cash into the club but until those attempts come to fruition then discussions with targets such as Paul Green of Derby County – who is also interesting Huddersfield Town – must remain on the back burner.

However, with Green this week expected to complete his free transfer switch to Loftus Road from West Ham United, sources in London have indicated that Kenny very much remains on the Elland Road radar.

Rangers manager Mark Hughes has offered a four-year deal to free agent Green, who is set to undergo a medical at England’s Euro 2012 training camp ahead of Friday’s Group D game with Sweden.
