Fixtures: Blades host Robins in season opener

Sheffield United will begin their quest for promotion from League One by hosting Bristol City at Bramall Lane.

The Blades then head on the road for an away double header against Coventry City and a Tuesday night fixture at Peterborough United.

Nigel Clough’s men face their first derby on October 4 when they travel to Chesterfield.

November sees United host Barnsley on the first and travel to Doncaster Rovers on the 15th.

The reverse fixtures with their two South Yorkshire rivals will take place over the Easter weekend with a trip to Oakwell on April 4 before welcoming Doncaster to the Lane on Easter Monday, April 6.

Boxing Day delivers an away trip to Port Vale before United host Scunthorpe on December 28.

The Blades close their campaign on May 2 with a home fixture against Chesterfield.
