Che Adams produced two clinical finishes to get Sheffield United’s home campaign off to a winning start.
After losing 4-0 on the opening day of the season, the Blades bounced back in League One with a comfortable victory over neighbours Chesterfield.
Both goals came in the opening minutes of each half. Conor Sammon was thwarted before Adams fired home, then at the start of the second half, Adams raced clear to net.
Sammon saw a debut ‘goal’ scrubbed off after a foul on Spireites goalkeeper Tommy Lee.
