Swindon Town 2 Sheffield United 1: Blades fall to defeat as Thompson strikes

Sheffield United have threatened to make a surprise appearance in the play-offs on the back of 11 wins in their 13 matches in all competitions prior to this encounter.

The visitors were subsequently in the ascendancy and ought to have been awarded a penalty when Troy Archibald-Henville tripped Freeman.

Chris Porter ‘scored’ but was was adjudged offside and substitute Louis Thompson increased Blades’ agitation with the hosts’ late winner.
