In midweek, the Blades had come from 2-0 down to beat Colchester 3-2 and it looked like history was repeating itself.

Swindon took a 3-0 lead - Michael Smith netting twice and Jonathan Obika - before United his back with goals from Marc McNulty and Ben Davies.

But there was to be no repeat heroics here, as further goals from Andy Williams and Louis Thompson secured a home win and left Clough to consider changes to a defence which has conceded seven goals in two games.
