Sheffield United's Kenny returns to training

GOALKEEPER Paddy Kenny, who was banned for failing a drugs test last May, has returned to training with Sheffield United.

A routine sample of the 31-year-old's urine taken after United's play-off semi-final with Preston in May 2009 was found to have traces of the banned substance ephedrine present.

He was suspended by the club and subsequently banned for nine months from July 22, a ban that is due to expire in April 22, three games before the end of the Championship season.

Kenny this afternoon trained with his Bramall Lane team-mates as he begins building towards a return to United's first team.
