Forestieri was Wednesday’s talisman last year as they reached the Championship play-off final, scoring 15 goals.

His future had been in doubt after he was not involved in the Owls’ trip to Norwich in the second game of this season.

Speculation has been rife about him making a move in January, with past suitors including the Owls’ promotion rivals Derby County and Newcastle United.

But the 26-year-old Argentinian forward has now extended his original deal by a year.

Hutchinson has signed a new three-year contract, capping a remarkable turnaround to his career.

The defensive midfielder retired from the game at the age of 21 due to a recurring knee injury when on the books of Premier League outfit Chelsea.

He signed for Wednesday in the summer of 2014 having spent 28 days on loan at Hillsborough in the 2013/14 campaign.

The 27-year-old has since made 83 appearances for the Owls in all competitions, including 23 matches this season.
