Some players were not paid in full last month, but they have now received their outstanding money, including loyal bonuses and the issue has been rectified, according to Monk.

He said: "Everything has been resolved as we said it would. I said at the time that everyone was happy with the explanation of the club and that it had been resolved and there is no problem whatsoever."

Wednesday are still awaiting the outcome of an English Football League hearing into a misconduct charge relating to the sale of their stadium to owner Dejphon Chansiri and Monk admits that the wait represents a frustration.

But he is refusing to expend energy on a situation he cannot control.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's game at QPR, he continued: "Everyone is tired of the same question. But I have been through this before at Birmingham.

"It is a difficult one; from a logic point of view, it makes no sense to be going on this long.

"The procedure of this going forward needs to be looked at anyway. This is not a good situation for anyone to be in to go so long. But I cannot control any of that, none of us can.

"That is why I am not focused on it in terms of where my energy is at. My energy is with the team and trying to help prepare and get them right for games.

"It is frustrating and all those things. But my energy and focus is not on that, it is a club issue and they are dealing with it and they feel confident from their side of it and we have said that all along.

Monk has confirmed that Kieran Lee will miss Saturday's trip to Loftus Road, but Tom Lees - who trained on Thursday - Connor Wickham and Jacob Murphy are among those who could feature.

Monk said: "Tom trained yesterday (Thursday) and as long as he does not have any reaction and he feels okay, hopefully that is another option for us."
