Bournemouth v Sheffield Wednesday: Hinds back in Owls defensive shake-up

FORGOTTEN man Richard Hinds will be handed an opportunity to revive his Sheffield Wednesday career tonight by manager Gary Megson.

Hinds will start a league game for the first time in 12 months as the Owls visit second-placed Bournemouth in League One.

The former Scunthorpe United defender was thrown back into the spotlight last weekend when manager Megson decided to remove Mark Reynolds just 28 minutes into the FA Cup fifth round defeat at Birmingham City.

Hinds, whose only other appearance this season resulted in a red card against Scunthorpe in the Carling Cup, stepped up to the plate and gave Megson plenty of food for thought.

With both Lewis Buxton and Jon Otsemobor currently injured, the Owls are short of cover at right-back and left-back Tommy Spurr has been filling the gap.

The Owls have gone nine games without a victory in the league

Last six games: Bournemouth WWWDWD, Sheff Wednesday WLDLLL.

Last time: Bournemouth 1 Sheff Wednesday 1; January 15, 2005, League One.

Referee: GD Horwood (Bedfordshire).

Derby County winger David Martin has returned to Pride Park after a month on loan at Notts County.
