FT Sheffield Wednesday 3 Bournemouth 0: Antonio leads Owls goals blitz

Dave Jones completed back-to-back wins as the new manager of Sheffield Wednesday when they beat Bournemouth at Hillsborough.

Owls manager Jones sticks with an unchanged side for the visit of the Cherries. Winger Jermaine Johnson (knee) and defender Reda Johnson (hamstring) are still sidelined along with defender Daniel Jones but goalkeeper Nicky Weaver has recovered from a virus.

Wednesday made a stunning start, scoring three times in the opening 10 minutes.

The Owls took the lead in the fourth minute. A surging run down the right from Michail Antonio and Danny Batth hammered the ball into the roof of the net.

Then Rob Jones headed home, before Antonio blasted beyond the reach of stunned Cherries goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan.

The Cherries though had their own chances and were unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.
