Huddersfield Town: Germany calling for Terriers fans
Wagner and assistant Christophe Buhler were unveiled this morning at a press conference at Town’s Canalside complex and the pair will be in the dug-out for the first time in the Yorkshire derby at Sheffield Wednesday on November 21.
Wagner, 44, former under-23s coach at Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, says that he will employ a fast-paced, high pressing and dynamic style at Huddersfield - akin to what earned many admirers under his former boss Jurgen Klopp in Germany.

“Everyone knows we are from Dortmund and what kind of football we play there and this is exactly what we like to bring here to Huddersfield.”
On his footballing philosophy, he added: “I like passion in the team and speed and like to score goals.’
“The result was poor on Saturday, but I still saw a good mentality. Everyone saw the full throttle football at Dortmund and we try to create that here.”

Hide AdIt has been widely reported that Huddersfield tempted Wagner to West Yorkshire, despite interest from his former manager at Dortmund, Klopp, who wanted him as part of his backroom team at Anfield.
Wagner is keen to focus on Huddersfield and side-stepped any talk about Liverpool.
He added: “I think it is not the day to speak about Liverpool, but Huddersfield and our ideas and plan.
“Everybody knows I have a good relationship with Jurgen and he’s a good friend of mine. I wish him all the best and I know he wishes us all the best for our work.
“But it is a restart and new chapter here for Huddersfield.”
