Two big Yorkshire derbies dominated the football today in a busy afternoon.

First, at 3pm, Sheffield United beat Bradford City 3-1, while later at 5.15pm, Middlesbrough edged out Sheffield Wednesday 1-0.

Elsewhere, there was a 1-0 defeat for Hull City at Preston, while Huddersfield Town drew 1-1 at QPR.

In League One, Barnsley beat Blackpool 4-2, while Doncaster Rovers won 2-1 at Oldham.

York City took a point in a 1-1 draw at Mansfield in League Two.

In the National League, resurgent FC Halifax Town beat Wrexham 2-0, but Guiseley slumped to a 3-0 loss at Gateshead.
