Owls’ patience rewarded with arrival of Premier League striker

The 27-year-old has joined the Owls on loan from Norwich City until January 17.

It is reward for Wednesday’s patience, as they tried to sign the former Celtic and Scunthorpe United striker in August but could not thrash out a deal before the transfer deadline closed.

Hooper - who has netted 177 goals from 311 starts - joined Norwich for £5m in the summer of 2013, helping Norwich reach the Premier League last season.

The striker will wear the No 14 shirt at Hillsborough.
