Verdict: There is not much to complain about, the football is infinitely better to watch than last season. Our squad is also better than it was last season and we are pushing the top six in the Championship. Carlos Carvalhal has really silenced the doubters so far and I think that there is no reason for the positives not to continue.

Where has this season gone right/wrong?: Having strength in depth has been key to how well things have gone so far this season.

Best moment: The Capital One Cup win against Arsenal at Hillsborough. The night that everyone finally noticed Sheffield Wednesday again.

Lowest moment: Middlesbrough. Back in late August, we looked a million miles away from one of the best sides in the division.

Best and worst opposition teams: Middlesbrough were the best we have faced so far. As for the worst… Preston.

What needs to be done in transfer window: Tough call, but possibly one more very creative wide midfielder. Also, the holy grail that everyone in the Championship wants, a proven goalscoring striker.

Predicted finish: I think we’ll finish pushing the top six, if not in there.
