The Owls have beaten off competition from Derby County to sign the Charlton left-back for an undisclosed fee and will provide competition for Daniel Pudil in defence.

He’s the second player to arrive this month, following Callum McManaman - who has joined on loan from West Brom - to S6.

Fox, 23, came through the ranks to The Valley and actually made his debut for Charlton at Hillsborough in the FA Cup in 2014.

The Wales Under-21 defender has made 116 appearances for Charlton, including 30 this season.

Fox - who will wear the No 43 shirt - is cup-tied for Sunday’s FA Cup third round trip to Middlesbrough, so could make his Owls debut against Huddersfield Town next weekend.
