Sheffield Wednesday's Purse out for three weeks
SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY could be without Darren Purse for up to three weeks.
The Owls skipper missed Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Ipswich after sustaining a hamstring injury in training on Thursday, leaving James O'Connor to take over the captain's armband.
"He got injured in the early stages of training on Thursday," manager Alan Irvine said. "It looks like he will be out for two or three weeks.
"With only six defenders to cover four positions it seems we were always likely to be in this position, leaving us vulnerable to injuries and suspensions."
