Speed made to sweat over fitness of Morgan

SHEFFIELD UNITED manager Gary Speed will today learn whether captain Chris Morgan has been ruled out of Saturday's Yorkshire derby at Leeds United.

Morgan limped off with a hamstring injury during the Blades' 1-0 win over Portsmouth last weekend and was due to have a scan last night.

Loan signings Nyron Nosworthy and Kyle Bartley are expected to continue in the centreback roles if Morgan is sidelined.

Barnsley are offering supporters the chance to watch the club's next six home games for 100.

The 'Super 6' deal covers Championship matches with Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest, Hull City, Leicester City, Portsmouth and Watford and represents a saving of 31 on match-by-match prices.

Senior Citizens and juveniles under-18 can get the same deal for just 65 and children under the age of 12 pay just 20.

Captain Jason Shackell said: "It was great to have such a fantastic atmosphere for the Leeds United game and our fans really lifted us and made a lot of noise, especially after we got our noses in front.

"You could see the crowd give every player a little extra and we want more of the same in every game here."

Hull City have extended Daniel Ayala's loan stay at the KC Stadium until January.

The 19-year-old arrived on an initial 28-day deal earlier this month but has impressed sufficiently to be retained by manager Nigel Pearson.

Hull have kept two clean sheets in three games since the Spaniard's arrival from Liverpool, while the teenager netted his first goal for the club in last week's 2-0 victory over Derby County.
