Swindon Town v Huddersfield Town: Clark quick to quell talk of promotion

LEE CLARK insists Huddersfield Town being top of League One will mean nothing until the season's run-in.

The Terriers lead the way in the third tier after collecting 14 points from a possible 21.

Having suffered the disappointment of losing in last season's play-off semi-finals, it has been a commendable response from Huddersfield.

Despite that, manager Clark said: "It is nicer to be at the top of the table, as opposed to the other end, that is for sure.

"But I don't get caught up when people talk about the table after every game. We just have to be in and around the top when it matters in the final months of the season.

"The ultimate would be being in one of the top two positions with a decent bit of a gap between ourselves and the team in third."

Today's opponents Swindon Town also suffered play-off heartache, losing in the final to Millwall at Wembley.
