A busy Saturday of football sees just four of Yorkshire’s teams playing at home, while seven of the region’s clubs face long, daunting trips. Log on here for team news from your club.
Brighton v Huddersfield
Team news: Sean Scannell (knee) is out, while Harry Bunn could also be missing with an ankle injury. Jonathan Hogg will serve a one-game ban, allowing Dean Whitehead to start for the first time since December 5 after returning from a knee injury in midweek. Jed Steer will return in goal. New signing Karim Matmour is in the squad.
Cardiff City v Rotherham United
Team news: Rotherham’s new signings Luciano Becchio and Chris Burke could make their debuts. Lee Frecklington (hamstring) will not feature, but Farrend Rawson and Lewis Buxton are added to the squad. Lex Immers will be in contention to feature for Cardiff after completing his loan signing from Feyenoord. Sean Morrison remains sidelined with a knee injury
Fulham v Hull
Team news: Defender Alex Bruce could return to the squad after a back injury but Michael Dawson and Adama Diomande are both still out. The pair could, though, be back to face Bury in the FA Cup fourth round a week today. Fulham forward Ross McCormack is expected to feature despite speculation regarding his future. Cauley Woodrow will be unavailable due to a foot injury.
Leeds United v Bristol City
Team news: Chris Wood is set to return for the first time since tweaking his hamstring in the final game of 2015, meaning Souleymane Doukara is likely to drop back to the bench. Stuart Dallas will continue on the flank, with Mustapha Carayol on the other following the departure of Sam Byram this week to West Ham.
Middlesbrough v Nottingham Forest
Team news: Ben Gibson (hip) misses out again for Boro, with Fernando Amorebieta lacking to continue to deputise. New Spanish striker Kike Sola could feature. Forest chief Dougie Freedman should have an unchanged squad as he attempts to extend his side’s unbeaten run to a dozen matches in all competitions. David Vaughan is suspended and Henri Lansbury has ankle damage.
Reading v Sheffield Wednesday
Team news: Fernando Forestieri (knee) is a doubt for the Owls, with new signings Gary Hooper and Joe Bennett in the squad. Goalkeepers Keiren Westwood (muscle strain) and Joe Wildsmith (back) are doubts so Lewis Price is on standby.
Barnsley v Rochdale
Team news: Kevin Long is available after extending his loan spell, while Josh Scowen could feature on the bench, with Harry White and Bradley Ash possible inclusions as replacements.
Fleetwood Town v Doncaster Rovers
Team news: Cameron Stewart, Andy Butler and Harry Middleton are all missing for Doncaster Rovers while Nathan Tyson is a major doubt. New signing Lynden Gooch - on loan from Sunderland - could make his debut.
Port Vale v Bradford
Team news: James Hanson should be back after a calf injury kept the striker out in midweek, while Billy Knott and Gary Liddle, the subject of a rejected bid from Carlise, are pushing to be involved. Reece Burke, who injured his wrist on his last appearance for City on January 2, is available following the renewal of the defender’s loan move from West Ham United.
Sheffield United v Swindon
Team news: Sheffield United defender Bob Harris is back in training, but today comes too quick.
Carlisle United v York City
Team news: York City have a similar squad available to the game against Newport County last week, although midfielder James Berrett (ankle) is absent. Both winger Anthony Straker and defender Marvin McCoy left York by mutual consent on Friday.
