Torquay United v Bradford City: Taylor's men have a tough nut to crack

PETER TAYLOR is backing his Bradford City side to breach the most miserly defence in the Football League.

Stretching back to early April, Torquay have not conceded a goal in nine League Two outings.

Taylor, whose squad travelled to Devon yesterday, said: "It is an unbelievable record. Torquay had a really good finish to last season and I expected them to do well this time.

"The positive thing for us is we go there after back-to-back wins and we don't fear anyone."

Steve Williams returns to the squad after being omitted against Stevenage for failing to report a hamstring injury against Nottingham Forest. Under club rules, the defender should have come in for treatment the following morning when other players were on a day off.

City start a run of three consecutive home games with Preston at Valley Parade in the Carling Cup next Tuesday, Southend on Friday and Port Vale two weeks today.
