Trainer strikes to end Guiseley run

Blue Square North: Guiseley's 15-game unbeaten league run ended at promotion rivals AFC Telford in the only Blue Square North game to survive the snow and ice.

Guiseley had the better of the first half exchanges, top scorer James Walshaw twice going close, but there was no breakthrough until Phil Trainer's 74th-minute header from a cross by Greg Mills settled the game in Telford's favour. Simon Ainge almost equalised but his 83rd-minute header cleared the bar.

Volunteers cleared snow off the pitch so the match could go ahead and the home club's reward was a crowd of 2,315 and three precious points.
