Transfer Gossip (June 17): Sheffield Wednesday chase ex-Rovers winger | West Brom interested in Leeds United's player of the year

Former Middlesbrough man Lee Cattermole could be on his way back to the newly promoted Premier League side, after reports from Sunderland suggest Aitor Karanka has offered £5m to regain the services of the hard-tackling midfielder.

A ‘big offer’ would be needed if Middlesbrough are to have any chance of signing the man with over 180 appearances for the Black Cats according to the Sunderland Echo, as the Teeside team look to add Premier League experience to their squad ahead of their first season back in the top division in seven years.

Sheffield Wednesday are interested in a move for former Sheffield United, Doncaster Rovers and current Birmingham City midfielder David Cotterill, who will reportedly be allowed to leave St Andrews for £1m due to a clause in his contract.
