Transfer Gossip (June 27): Tom Huddlestone to stick with Hull | Barnsley eye Curtis Nelson | Bradford target Mark Beevers

HULL CITY midfielder Tom Huddlestone is expected to hand the Tigers a boost by signing a two-year contract extension this week.

Huddlestone is set to follow in the footsteps of Ahmed Elmohamady and Eldin Jakupovic by committing his future to the East Yorkshire outfit, who have provisionally agreed terms with him on fresh terms.

Meanwhile, the Tigers have been linked with a move for Paraguay international striker Raúl Bobadilla, 29.

The forward, born in raised in Argentina, is currently at Bundesliga side FC Augsburg, who are likely to seek a fee of around £5m for his services.

Hull striker Abel Hernandez continues to be linked with a move back to Serie A, with several clubs including Fiorentina and Bologna circling.

Barnsley, having agreed terms to sign striker Elliott Lee and midfielder George Moncur, expected to be unveiled at Oakwell next week, remain in the hunt for Plymouth defender Curtis Nelson and Charlton winger Callum Harriott and will make renewed moves to sign the duo this week.

Bradford City are in the market for Millwall defender Mark Beevers alongside former Rangers midfielder and ex-Bantam Nicky Law, who has previously worked with manager Stuart McCall at Valley Parade and during his spells in charge at Ibrox and Mothewell.

A goalkeeper is another priority for Bradford following Ben Williams’s move to League One rivals Bury on a two-year deal after the end of his deal at City.
