NORWICH CITY are working on a loan deal to take Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes to Carrow Road.
The Canaries are keen to offer a lifeline to Rhodes following a tough time at the Owls and are in negotiations over a loan fee and also regarding terms, with the Wednesday striker being one of the top earners at Hillsborough.
Middlesbrough are hoping to complete a £5m deal to sign Sunderland midfielder Paddy McNair today after a deal was resurrected over the weekend.
The Wearsiders accepted a bid last week, but Boro pulled out of the running after believing that the Northern Ireland international was still being offered to rival clubs
But talks between McNair’s representatives and Boro have now got a deal back on track and the 23-year-old is expected to have a medical today.

Bolton Wanderers would have to find around £1m if they are to land Bradford City striker Charlie Wyke.
Phil Parkinson is a big fan of the 25-year-old, who has struck 19 goals in 42 games for the Bantams in League One over the past year-and-a-half and made tentative enquiries about his availability in January, but felt that the asking price was too high.
Wyke, brought in for a £250,000 fee from Carlisle United in January, 2017, is approaching the final year of his contract at City.
