Hide AdLeeds United are still rumoured to be looking at Italian side, Carpi’s striker, Jerry Mbakogu.
The possibility of a deal has persisted for months now and the price tag is estimated at between £3-4million.
If a deal does transpire it would make the 25 year-old United’s most expensive signing in over ten years.
Leeds have also been linked with England U21 International, Angus Gunn who is a highly rated goalkeeper at Manchester City.

Following Simon Grayson’s departure from Bradford City, former Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton is the bookies’ favourite to become the new man to take the helm at Valley Parade.
Other possible candidates include Grant McCann, Uwe Rosler, Ian Cathro and Steve Cotterill.
Sean Clare could be leaving Sheffield Wednesday with Aston Villa rumoured to be looking at signing the young midfielder who was loaned out to Gillingham for the first half of the past season.
It is understood that Owls boss Jos Luhukay did offer Clare a new contract, but he turned it down.
