Reports suggest he will undergo a medical at Elland Road tomorrow.

The striker scored 13 goals in 18 appearances for top-flight Scandinavian club Kalmar and is said to have been the target of a £1.25m bid from the Whites.

Swedish website Fotbollskanalen claim Leeds’ pursuit of the player is almost complete and Kalmar president Mattias Rosenlund confirmed the club are in discussions with an unnamed team over a deal for Antonsson.

“We are in agreement with a club,” said Rosenlund. “He will undergo a medical on Monday to check that nothing interferes with the process.

Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips is set to sign a new three-year deal. The 20-year-old academy product made 10 appearances in the Championship last season.

Huddersfield Town could be set to sign a third defender from head coach David Wagner’s native Germany .

The 1860 Munich defender Christopher Schindler is the reported target should QPR return with a revised bid for Joel Lynch that meets Town’s valuation.

Schindler came through 1860 Munich’s youth system and playedfor the club’s second team before making a senior bow in 2010. The centre-back back has since made more than 150 appearances and played four times for germany Under-21s.

Rotherham have missed out on former Celtic striker Anthony Stokes.

The 27-year-old, who played under new Millers chief Alan Stubbs at Hibernian last season, was wanted by a host of clubs and has signed a three-year deal with Blackburn Rovers.

Sheffield Wednesday are said to be interested in Millwall striker, Lee Gregory.

The 27-year-old partnered England’s Jamie Vardy up front when they played together for Halifax Town and last season netted 27 goals for the Lions and Championship clubs are now looking on with interest.
