Grealish, 20, has endured a disappointing season at Villa fraught with controversy and is likely to leave once their Championship status is confirmed.

Leeds United wanted to sign the player on loan during the January transfer window, with Steve Evans claiming they had approached Villa over a switch, only for Midlanders to reject the offer.

Grealish has been largely out of favour at Villa since he was seen partying in a nightclub just hours after Villa had gone down to a 4-0 loss to Everton back in November.

That led to manager Remi Garde dropping the player and banishing him to the Under-21 squad.

He enjoyed a brief return to the first team in January but has not featured under Garde since.

Hull City striker Greg Luer has returned to the club at the end of his loan spell with Scunthorpe United.

The 21-year-old made the announcement via social media, following the completion of his month-long stint at Glanford Park.

Iron chief Nick Daws had expressed a desire to keep the forward for longer.

Luer made four appearances for the Iron but sustained a gash on the back of his knee during the goalless draw at Walsall and has returned to Hull, for whom he has made six appearances this term.

In terms of incomings, the Tigers have been linked with a move for Blackburn Rovers defender Shane Duffy.

The 24-year-old has made 33 appearances for Rovers this season and is also believed to be attracting the interest of Crystal Palace and West Brom.

Huddersfield Town are believed to be closing in on the loan signature of exciting Leicester City winger Joseph Dodoo.

Several Football League clubs have expressed an interest about signing Dodoo on loan but Huddersfield hope to win the race to secure his signature.

Reports suggest that Leicester are close to sanctioning an emergency loan deal to the Terriers.

Huddersfield also remain heavily linked with Wolves winger Rajiv van La Parra.
