WOLVES are reportedly lining up a big-money £18m swoop for Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore.

The former Barcelona and Aston Villa youngster has a clause in his Boro contract that allows him to talk to other clubs when a £18m bid is made, with Villa having a sell-on clause in any prospective deal, should the 22-year-old depart Teesside.

Huddersfield Town have also been credited with an interest in the wingman.

Boro and Nottingham Forest have not held talks regarding Patrick Bamford heading to the City Ground, with the Teessiders keen to keep the striker, who has not been the subject of a formal offer from Forest.

Boro are also said to not be in the running to sign free agent midfielder James Morrison, who started his career at the club.

Huddersfield have been linked with a double swoop to sign Leicester City’s Nigerian winger Ahmed Musa and Germany left-back Marvin Plattenhardt.

Leicester are ready to cash in on in-demand Musa, who scored for Nigeria in the World Cup, with Fulham also interested.

Plattenhardt, who is also being tracked by Everton and Bournemouth, started Germany’s opening World Cup defeat to Mexico.

Hull City head coach Nigel Adkins is pursuing a deal to bring back former left-back Conor Townsend to the club.

Hull-born Townsend has impressed at Scunthorpe United, who triggered a 12-month extension to his deal at the end of last season.

The Tigers have made just one close-season recruit in former Nottingham Forest defender Eric Lichaj and are depleted in terms of defensive numbers.

The club have an ongoing interest in ex-QPR captain Nedum Onouha and have an offer for the free agent on the table.

Preston North End and Wigan Athletic have joined fellow Red Rose outfit Bolton Wanderers in the race to sign Bradford City forward Charlie Wyke.

Bantams target Ryan Yates is set to leave Nottingham Forest for a rival Championship club - with Rotherham United and Bolton mooted as possible destinations.

Portsmouth are also interested in Yates, who made an impression on loan at Scunthorpe last term.

Mansfield Town have been linked with a move for Doncaster Rovers winger Alex Kiwomya.

Former Barnsley goalkeeper Nick Townsend is on trial at Shrewsbury Town.

Exeter City have signed former Bradford City midfielder Nicky Law on a free transfer.
