Hull are yet to respond to Slaven Bilic’s latest bid, with Tigers chief Silva adamant that only a ‘special offer’ will take him away from East Yorkshire.

Boro remain interested, but have other targets, including Stoke’s Bojan Krkik and Everton’s Gerald Deulofeu, alongside PSG’s Jese Rodriguez.

Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner is reportedly keeping tabs on striker Collin Quaner in his native Germany.

The 25-year-old currently plies his trade for Union Berlin in the German second tier, where he has scored seven goals and registered three assists in 14 league appearances so far this season.

Bradford City have revealed that they are interested in signing young Newcastle United winger Alex Gilliead.

The Magpies prospect turns 21 next month and showed his potential on loan at Carlisle United last term, scoring five goals in 41 appearances, while spending another loan spell with Luton Town during this current season - scoring twice in 21 games.

He has now returned to Tyneside, with Bantams chief Stuart McCall revealing his interest, saying: “He is one on the radar.”

Aston Villa continue to be linked with a move for influential Barnsley captain Conor Hourihane and are expected to firm up their interest.

A number of other clubs, including Celtic and Rangers, are interested in Hourihane, who is yet to sign a new deal with his current contract expiring in the summer, but Bruce appears to be in the box seat to land the talented midfielder.

Sheffield Wednesday are one of several clubs monitoring Sam Winnall, another of the Reds star assets who has yet to commit his future to Oakwell after being tabled with fresh terms with his deal up in June.

Brentford are also keen on Winnall.

Meanwhile, the Reds and QPR are said to be monitoring Hibernian forward Jason Cummings, who has scored 12 goals for the Edinburgh outfit this term.
