HULL CITY are working towards completing a double deal to sign defender Stephen Kingsley and forward Jon Toral while midfielder Sam Clucas puts the finishing touches to his move to Premier League Swansea City.
Clucas is expected to complete his move to the Swans later today or tomorrow, with the deal said to be worth £15m with another potential £1.5m in add-ons.
Scotland-born Kingsley is set to move in the opposite direction to East Yorkshire in a separate deal, with Hull also close to signing Arsenal frontman Toral.
The Tigers have also been linked with a loan move for Watford forward Isaac Success.
Stirling-born Kingsley, capped once by Scotland, has spent three years with Swansea after initially joining from Falkirk as a teenager - and has had loan spells at Yeovil Town and Crewe.
The arrival of Toral would provide a badly-needed attacking option for Hull, with Abel Hernandez out with a long-term injury.
The 22-year-old has spent the last three years on loan at different clubs including Brentford, Birmingham, Granada and Rangers.
Leeds United are also intensifying their attempts to bring in some new strikers following the big-money sale of Chris Wood - and have made a move to sign NEC Nijmegen striker Jay-Roy Grot.
United are also interested in Middlesbrough’s Rudy Gestede, but Boro appear unwilling to do business.
Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has pledged to re-invest proceeds from Wood’s sale into the squad, with Holland Under-19 international Grot , who played 20 times for the Dutch side last season and scored five goals, having emerged as one target.
Wood has joined Burnley for an initial £15m, a sum which could rise to £18m with add-ons.
Also heading out of Elland Road is midfielder and former club captain Liam Bridcutt, who has signed for Nottingham Forest on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The 28-year-old former club captain only signed on a permanent basis for the Whites from Sunderland last summer.
Middlesbrough are close to wrapping up the £2.5m signing of Birmingham City defender Ryan Shotton, but are bracing themselves for further interest in winger Adama Traore.
French club Lille are the latest club being strongly linked, with Chelsea also having a long-standing interest in the 21-year-old, who joined from Aston Villa just under 12 months ago.
Should Traore leave, Boro are likely to pursue a loan deal to attempt to bring Liverpool winger Ryan Kent to the Riverside.
Barnsley are reportedly in the hunt to sign Brighton midfielder Richie Towell, with Blackburn Rovers and Burton Albion also keen, with MK Dons and Charlton also in the frame.
Irishman Towell has been told he can leave Albion on loan and is keen to kick-start his career in England.
Bradford City have completed the loan signing of Burnley defender Luke Hendrie, son of City legend John.
Hendrie, 22, who has joined until January, will provide competition for Tony McMahon at right-back.
Lucas Joao has been told he is free to leave Sheffield Wednesday on loan.
The 23-year-old has not played for the Owls since January.
