Jordan Rhodes says that his move to Sheffield Wednesday came right out of the blue - and he admits he is thrilled to have completed his move to Hillsborough.

Rhodes is confdent he can kick on his carer again after a tough and mentally get challenging season at Middlesbrough and is keen to put that behind him.

Rhodes said: "It's feels really good. I have wanted to play for Sheffield Wednesday for a few years.

"Coming here and watching the odd game when I was with Huddersfield, Blackburn and Middlesbrough and watching my dad's team, you feel the history and atmosphere around the place.

"It's is a club of great tradition and to be here as a Sheffield Wednesday player is a really good feeling."

On his move, Rhodes, who joined Boro from Blackburn in a beat-the-deadline move 12 months ago, added: "The move came out of the blue and it (deadline day) was very rushed and frantic. Hopefully the end of next January will be a nice stress free one."
