Hutchinson went off with a knee injury - which prevented him from training last week - just 33 minutes into Saturday’s 5-1 home demolition of Norwich City and Abdi missed the game against the Canaries due to inflammation on his knee.

Ex-Watford player Abdi had a scan last week and did not train for the last two days of last week before the Norwich encounter, with head coach Carlos Carvalhal revealing that the injury was ‘not too serious’

On the pair, Carvalhal, without discussing specific details, said: “We must wait until tomorrow to check everyone. Let’s see tomorrow if they (Hutchinson and Abdi) recover. We will check all the players in the morning and make the decisions.

“We must analyse all the players and see if they have small problems or not and then make the best decisions and chose the best 11 to win the game.”
