Wembley Live - Barnsley clinch promotion to the Championship

BARNSLEY have beaten Millwall 3-1 to win the League One play-off final at Wembley Stadium and clinch their place in the Championship.

Two stunning goals in the opening 20 minutes by Ashley Fletcher and Adam Hammill gave Barnsley the dream start.

But Mark Beevers pulled a goal back for Millwall shortly after the half-hour mark.

Then Lloyd Isgrove popped up with a 75th-minute header to restore Barnsley’s two-goal advantage and seal the victory.

Thousands of Reds fans marched on London hoping to see Paul Heckingbottom’s team repeat the triumph they enjoyed in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy earlier in the year.
