Will Leeds United get Pablo's papers in time for Fleetwood outing?
Hernandez is looking to put himself in contention for a debut in the first round of the EFL Cup but Leeds remain at the mercy of Qatar’s Football Association following an unexpected delay in finalising his transfer.
United signed the former Valencia winger on a six-month loan from Qatari club Al-Arabi last Tuesday, bringing the 31-year-old back to England two years after he quit Swansea City for the Middle East.

Hide AdMonk expected the move to be officially ratified with the arrival of an international transfer certificate before Sunday’s opening Championship game against Queens Park Rangers and the United boss planned to use Hernandez in that match. Hernandez, however, was reduced to the role of a spectator after Qatar’s FA failed to submit the paperwork in time.
Leeds have spent the past few days pressing the organisation to resolve the matter quickly with Monk’s players due to travel to Fleetwood later today.
Monk was frustrated by the absence of Hernandez during a 3-0 defeat at Loftus Road but asked if he would have his seventh summer signing available at Fleetwood, Monk said: “We’re hoping they can clear it. I’m sure it will be done.”
