Yeovil Town 0 Huddersfield Town 1: Robinson’s time will come says relieved Town manager Clark

KEEP an eye on Anton Robinson, is the advice from Lee Clark for Terriers fans after the midfielder grabbed an 80th-minute winner soon after coming off the substitutes’ bench.

Manager Clark, who replaced Damien Johnson with Robinson in the 73rd minute, admitted the ex-Bournemouth player had not had much of a look in since his move to the north, but said: “His time will come.”

Clark said he had had a long chat with the player and told him he was talented and a very good footballer capable of doing a box-to-box job in midfield.

Robinson’s goal came from the Town’s best spell after Yeovil had given them a fright. Goalkeeper Marek Stech dived to push Scott Arfield’s drive to his right, and when another substitute, Lee Novak, kocked the ball back into the middle, Robinson was well placed to score his first goal for the club.

The 533 travelling Huddersfield fans, who came hoping to see Jordan Rhodes add to his 14 goals in six games, saw their hero test Stech with a 39th-minute header – the only decent goal attempt by the visitors in the first half.

But bottom-of-the-table Yeovil hit the bar twice in the second period and Clark knows his team’s unbeaten league run, stretching to 41 matches could easily have come to an end.

Clark, who denied any contact from Leicester over their managerial vacancy, said: “I thought we were awful in the first half, but credit to Yeovil – they were excellent. I don’t know how many chances you can get in a season. When you play Monopoly you can use a ‘get out of jail free’ card, but I don’t know how many of those cards we’ve got left.”
