York City beat Notts County in League Two to climb away from the bottom of the table.
First-half goals from Michael Coulson and Bradley Fewster did the damage, and lift York into 23rd place in League Two.
Not even an own goal from Lubo Satka could prevent the Minstermen from earning all three points.
Dagenham are now bottom with 20 points, York have 23, one behind Yeovil Town.
