100 per cent finish needed from York

BLUE SQUARE PREMIER: Gary Mills admits York City cannot afford any further slip-ups during a run-in that starts tonight with the visit of Luton Town.

The Minstermen’s shock defeat to Tamworth last weekend means three points are a must against the Hatters if the club are to remain in the race for the play-offs.

Luton’s visit is City’s game in hand on fifth placed Fleetwood, who are also yet to lay sixth placed Kidderminster, and Mills said: “With four games to go, we have got to win them all.

“If we do that, we’ll finish on 78 points. We would be unlucky to miss out with that amount of points.”

The defeat to Tamworth ended City’s 13-game unbeaten run at home - a sequence that included ten wins. Mills added: “We have to take it on the chin and get three points behind Fleetwood again by beating Luton.”

After tonight’s visit from Luton, who are third in the table, York travel to Darlington on Saturday before hosting Cambridge United at Bootham Crescent two days later.

The Minstermen then round off their 2010-11 campaign with a trip to champions Crawley Town.
