Barrow 0 York City 0: Minstermen held in stalemate

York City dropped two points at Barrow today in the Blue Square Premier.

Paul Rutherford saw his late effort hit the post for Barrow as they were held to a draw by play-off chasing York.

Jonathan Smith went closest to a goal for the visitors, when he fired over from six yards.

Richie Baker fired wide and also saw an effort saved by Michael Ingham as the home side looked for a late winner.

They came close to finding one when Rutherford hit the post from close range but the sides had to settle for a point each.
