Frontman Walker struck six minutes from time for Gary Mills’ troops, whose recorded their 11th draw so far in the 2012-13 campaign.

After a goalless first half, Cheltenham - hammered 5-1 at home by Everton in the FA Cup on Monday night in a one-sided third-round clash, took the lead, courtesy of much-travelled striker Shaun Harrad in the 66th minute

Whaddon Road has been somewhat of a fortress for Mark Yates’ Robins in the league, with the hosts unbeaten in seven going into the encounter with City, who had it all to do to take something after Harrad’s strike.

The pain was double for City with defender David McGurk stretchered off in the build-up to Harrad’s goal.

But York, who threw wantaway striker Jamie Reed and Jon Challinor in their bid to hit back dig deep and they were rewarded when Walker plundered his eighth goal of the campaign with a close-range finish.
