Ten-man York City crashed to a 1-0 loss at fellow strugglers Dagenham & Redbridge in League Two.

Captain Russell Penn was red carded on 57 minutes to leave York to battle with 10 men for the final third.

And the Daggers got the winner 12 minutes from full-time, when Josh Passley netted.

Defeat leaves York five points behind Hartlepool, who have three games in hand.
