York City battled back to earn a point against Carlisle United in League Two.
Goals from Tom Miller and Troy Archibald-Henville made it 2-0, before striker Vadaine Oliver was sent off for an off-the-ball incident.
But Luke Summerfield scored from the spot after being fouled, with Josh Carson levelling from Emile Sinclair’s right-wing cross.
“First half we’ve looked back on the stats and they’ve entered the box four times and had two shots on goal so that’s disappointing,” said City manager Russ Wilcox.
“Did we play well enough in the first half? I think at times we did. Did the system work? I think at times it did.
“I think the positives from today are character and togetherness. I think 99 out of 100 today in the crowd would have thought that was an away win.
“You make the changes and hope for a reaction and two weeks running the lads that have come on off the bench have made a big impression on the game.”
